There is Always a Solution.

Hi there :)

I’d like to chat with you today about adaptability. Let me know if any of this feels relatable:

You start your workout routine with all sorts of motivation...and then your kid gets sick.

You have been doing so well with your fitness...and then you hurt yourself.

You get to the gym for your first workout (which is a big deal since you have a lot of anxiety about this!) and all the machines are taken.

You wake up, get dressed for the gym, get in the car...and your battery is dead.

The holidays arrive.

You have a huge deadline at work.

You go on vacation.

The thing is...If you're looking for a reason to not work out. You will find one every single day.

Please don't think I am denying the reality of these situations. However, there are ways to adapt...rather than abandon. And if a true change in your health is what you are really seeking. You will find those adaptations. Or you will ask someone to help you.

You'll do a condensed workout at home. Or go for a run or walk. You'll make a holiday event out of getting together with your friends for some exercise. You'll meditate or stretch. You'll do something that brings you closer to your health and fitness goals.

When we are in the pursuit of something we care about deeply and truly, we do not give up. We adapt. So the next time you run into a blockade that's keeping you from your health goals and fitness dreams, do not abandon them and do not abandon yourself!

Instead, pause. Breathe. Realize there is always an alternate solution. And make a decision. You can do this. If you really truly care...you can do this.
